The Carnegie Champion Schools Tournament is a full contact knock-out Rugby League competition open to every secondary school in the UK, aimed at promoting and increasing participation in the sport amongst the nation's youngsters.
Over the course of the competition the tournament progresses from local to regional and ultimately national level, as teams battle it out for a place in the national finals.
The finals of the 2008 Carnegie Champion Schools Tournament will be played on the 22/23rd August, the weekend of the Carnegie Challenge Cup Final at Wembley Stadium.
In the last Academic year over 1,500 teams and 25,000 players competed in the Carnegie Champion Schools Tournament, making it the largest rugby league competition in the world. In the past four years more than 1,000 schools, 4,000 teams and 72,000 pupils have taken part in the tournament.
The North London Competition will take place at White Hart Lane Community Sports Centre on the following dates:
10th October - Year 11
6th November - Year 7
8th November - Year 8
13th November - Year 9
15th November - Year 10
